Find out moreOwned and run by Qualified Professionals
Unlike most other care providers we were set up and are still run by two qualified nurses with over 30 years NHS experience between them so you can be sure that quality is very important to us and we are backed by professional registrations and standards-we are NOT just another care company. We are specialists in supported living and provide support up to 24 hours a day including sleep-ins and waking nights to people in Peterborough and surrounding areas.
We believe in providing care and support that is flexible, adaptable and unique to your needs, enabling you to maintain your independence and preserve your quality of life. To help us to meet your needs, we work very closely with you and your existing support networks and professionals to implement a person centred plan, health action plan, communication passport, behavioural management plans in addition to any other specialist planning that is required to fully meet your support needs.
We provide a very wide range of care, therefore we invite you to find out more by hovering on 'Our Services' and choosing the appropriate service name to see what we can do for you. Our services are completely flexible and adaptable to your needs, the services offered are not the only ones available to you.
As communication is key in supporting individuals with a disability, we adopt various methods of communication. Communication passports are developed for each individual we support to ensure we meet their preferred choice of communication, this may include: illustrated documents, talking maps, Makaton, flash cards, assistive technology and objects of reference.
All our staff receive full classroom based induction and ongoing training as well as specialist training needed based on an individual's assessed needs. This may include autism awareness, Buccal Mudazolam, PEG feeding, catheter care and managing challening behaviour. Our support staff are managed by a strong management team with many years of experience within the NHS and social care areas.
We welcome you or your social worker to contact us to discuss how Next Steps can meet your care and support needs. For further information please hover over 'Our Services' and choose 'Make a referral'.
